Scope & Content Playbill for "East Lynne, or The Elopement" at the Williams' Opera House. Play was performed on Tuesday, December 16 and Wednesday, December 17, 1879. The lead performer was Miss Ada Gray. There were eleven supporting actors and actresses. The play was written by Miss Gray as a new version from a novel entitled "East Lynne." Miss Gray starred in the role of Lady Isabel. The play was supported by Charles A. Watkins' 5th Avenue Combination. It commenced at 8:00 p.m. on both days, with the doors opening at 7:00 p.m. General admission was 50 cents, with reserved seats for 75 cents, and children admitted for 25 cents.
