The Tippett papers which consist primarily of the records regarding Mr. John Tippett's law suit against Universal Film Corporation (Carl Laemmle Sr., President) in 1938 which requested the Court to order Universal to permit Mr. Tippett to look at Universal Film Corporations books. John Tippett owned the Transatlantic Film Company, a British company in 1917; Mr. Tippett retired to Delaware, Ohio, and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery
